Professional Biography

 

 “There are less than 300 specialists in the United States helping people who stutter.” American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

As a specialist and an instructor, I keep up with current research regarding stuttering therapy and etiology. I have worked within my field of expertise with Pasadena City College; Mountain View School District, El Monte, CA; San Marino Unified School District; the ENT department at Kaiser-Permanente Hospital; the Los Angeles County Office of Education; the Los Angeles Unified School District; and the Stuttering Adult Clinic, California State University, Los Angeles.

I served as the director of the Los Angles Chapter of the National Stuttering Association for 14 years.

I am a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). I have presented at ASHA, CSHA, and in several school districts. I am available for one and two-day workshops, in-services, and seminars.

My present involvement includes teaching the undergraduate and graduate level fluency classes at California State University Northridge (CSUN) and I also direct and supervise the California State University Northridge Stuttering Clinic.

I previously conducted one-day family workshops called “Children Who Stutter and Their Families” in association with Pasadena City College (PCC) Communications Department.
